He’ll be fine, he’s already realised that 99.9% of people are total cunts and want’s nothing more to do with them.

Wish I’d cottoned at that young age to be fair.

Exactly nurse. It's his choice. I dont one day to say thanks dad when he comes home from school hurt from mental bullying. I'm dont like socialising that much but if he changed his mind later on then he can go back to school.

I absolutely hated school.

I need a proper keyboard I cant type one sentence without errors.

I don't mean this to sound patronising but well done for not forcing your kid to socialise when they don't want to. People/parents may be well meaning, but thick as planks when they try to force that excruciating shit on children who simply prefer their own company. Extroverts are a fucking scourge.

So how can they socialise when they are told to be quite and listen most of the day apart from break times. I do go to a very friendly church where the children are well behaved but he still rather be on his own. So i dont force him into any activity as church is one place where no one should feel they have take part in any thing there not comfortable.

I'm struggling typing on there small keyboards and it's taking me ages to reply and trying to cut and paste is Impossible for me.

Some very helpful replies here..... Thanks

Re: Home schooling/educating
Jusat let them bunk off school and go back as mature students.

Education is wasted on the young.

I'm going to go for a degree in my 60s, once I've nailed the 11+.

My girl is going thro her GCSE's.... 22 exams in all... her scholl day consists of 10 mins morning break and 20 mins lunch break ... the rest is full on lessons... only 2 options... otherwise it;s English, Maths, and triple science virtually every day... the pressure on kids now is something way beyond I experienced at school...

Well said.

Homeschooling. We did it with all three sons. Dunno about the UK but it's well organised here in NZ, with many groups offering social opportunities.

2 of our 3 went onto Uni. All three are doing well out in the world, with loads of friends.

Here, at least, quite a large number of fundamentalist Christians get into it, so there are two distinct strands.

It can be quite demanding, but does offer the chance to follow a child's interests more thoroughly than might be the case in school. And, obviously, it'll be more expensive than school.

Either way, good luck.
